OUR SERVICES

AFTER CARE FOR PETS

We aim to provide first class service to the pet owners of Yuma and it's surrounding areas. We currently contract privately with local veterinarians.

We offer several options for after care:

  • Individual cremation where you can receive your pets ashes back to you in a custom engraved wooden box (not currently available for livestock). We currently offer an acacia wood urn included in the cost of cremation. Special order urns are available for an additional fee. To see which urns are available go to https://bogatiurns.com/collections/pet-urns or https://terrybear.com/pet-catalog/ (please call with SKU number for pricing).

  • Mass cremation for those who do not wish to receive ashes back.

  • Simple disposal primarily for larger animals such as horses and cattle where private or mass cremation is not desired.

MEDICAL SHARPS REMOVAL

There is currently no local service that provides removal AND destruction of medical sharps (needles, syringes, etc.). This is a problem that we at Lakey Animal Crematory wish to solve. We will remove medical sharps to be disposed of at an off site location.

*We are not able to store sharps at our facility. Instead, will pick up from the generator monthly or as needed and transport sharps to a disposal facility.

BIOHAZARDOUS WASTE REMOVAL

Along with removal of medical sharps, we aim to provide removal and disposal services for unwanted/unusable pharmaceuticals, trace chemotherapy waste as well as red bag waste. As with the medical sharps, they will be disposed at an off site location.

ABOUT US

Lakey Animal Crematory is a locally founded and owned business. Our dream started out in 2017 with the goal to give Yuma and it's surrouding areas its first locally owned and operated animal crematory in over a decade. Up until now, your fur babies only options for cremation services was to go out of town. Not anymore. We understand that the loss of your pet is heart breaking as it is; and the sooner they can be back home with you, the sooner your healing can begin.
